NC Statewide Poll – Released April 22, 2021

Cooper's Approval Rating Down, Trump/McCrory lead Senate Pack, and Election Confidence low in NC

Cardinal Point Analytics latest NC statewide poll shows Governor Roy Cooper’s approval rating is down 7.1 percentage points from an all-time high of 54.7% in January.

On the Democrat side, former Chief Justice Cheri Beasley and Senator Jeff Jackson are the leading candidates for the Democratic nomination for US Senate in 2022.

On the Republican side, former President Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, a native of Wilmington, NC, is in a statistical tie with former Governor Pat McCrory.  Trump who is still flirting with the idea of running for US Senate is the only candidate at this moment who would appear to give Governor McCrory a real challenge, with third place going to former Representative Mark Walker at 10.4%.

On the Election Integrity front, 45% of North Carolinians are not confident in the outcome of the 2020 Presidential Election and another 7.6% are unsure or undecided on the issue.  This means that over 50% of North Carolinians have concerns about election integrity.
